XnView is a great multimedia browser, viewer and converter. Works great as a file browser and an image viewer. It supports about 400 graphic file formats, applying various filters and effects to images, slide show, fullscreen mode, screen capture, image EXIF information, and more. It works fast and effecient, so it is great to use as the default image viewer, when you want to just load an image fast.

Double click the image filename and it fills the window. In this mode, you can use the arrows or the scroll wheel to page through all images and videos in this directory.
